Wear Denim. Support Survivors. Start Conversations.
Wednesday April 29th
This April, join the Wichita Area Sexual Assault Center (WASAC) in recognizing Denim Day—a global movement that raises awareness about sexual violence and challenges harmful myths around victim-blaming.
Denim Day began in Italy after a court overturned a sexual assault case based on what the survivor was wearing. In response, people wore denim to protest victim-blaming. Today, it is a global movement to raise awareness and stand with survivors.
Denim Day is a simple, powerful way to show survivors they are believed, supported, and not alone.
